I just received text saying my oath ceremony notice was mailed!!! I didn't get the "in line" text, it went straight to notice mailed!! Almost 1 month after my interview.

Hey Guys! Just got home from the interview. It went really good. The officer was very nice. But I was not recommended for approval, instead. It said that a desiccant could not be made yet.

My experience.

I got there thirty minutes earlier. About 1:30 p.m she called me. We went in her office and she asked me to sit down. We did the six questions such as; who's the speaker of the house? Name one the two longest rivers in America. When was the constitution written? Who was living in America before the colonists arrive? When did the Declaration of Independence take place? I don't remember the last question. Then we went ahead and did the reading part. I read who was the president during the civil war? Then she had me write. Lincoln was the president during the civil war. Then she review my files. She asked me about my son. She asked what my wife did. She also asked if we had ever separated. Where she worked. If she was a citizen. When we got married. We went through the entire questionnaire about if I was part of any criminal group, or involved in prostitution. She did skipped some questions. She made me sign a few forms stating that I agreed with the pledge of allegiance. She only asked for my two passports, driver's license, and green card. She made me sign my pictures and that was it. I was looking down and she thought I had my phone on. I replied I was just looking at my finger lol. I had brought lots of paperwork and she didn't ask any documents. Since I am changing my name, she said it could take up to 60 days ( if approved) for my oath ceremony. It was kinda sad because some people were told they could go ahead and do the oath ceremony right away. I knew I had to to go to a court to do it, but knowing that a decision could not be made is scary.

Hi everyone, I was finally placed in line for an interview today (July 5)!

I actually had a trip scheduled for out of the country between August 10-29. Of course if my interview is scheduled during this time I won't be able to go.

Since I had to wait so long in between biometrics (Mar 24) and being placed in line, is it possible that I'll get my interview letter sooner than the typical one month wait time? I've noticed in previous months filers who had to wait longer to be placed in line often got their interview letters soon after that (1-2 weeks). Of course, there are no guarantees but I'm hoping I'll be able to do this interview and go on my trip. :)

Actually never mind. I just got notification that my interview has been scheduled (same day as in line)! Haven't gotten the letter yet obviously. Hopefully sometime this week or early next week.

06/07/2018 (Thursday) NOA-2 was APPROVED. 172 days.

Hello all! Though this is my first time posting, I have followed this and the January thread carefully as I am a January filer. My case was derailed by an RFE but I was placed in line for oath ceremony on 6/23 according to text/email status. I have still not received a letter saying my application has been approved. Is this normal? Also I live in small city which is 90 minutes away from Dallas. According to the East Texas District Court Website my oath could be in either Dallas/Tyler/Beaumont. Is there anyway for me to figure out when I can expect my oath ceremony? I know Dallas has oath ceremonies twice a week. I am wondering why I have not been scheduled yet for one of those ceremonies. I have no plan to change my name. Any insight you can provide on my case will be appreciated.
