We received the I-797 NOA yesterday and something very weird, the date received and priority date on it are 2/11/2016, but when we do the case status online it says it was received 2/12/2016. Has anyone else noticed this?

I wouldn't worry. Our NOA has 11 Feb as the Date Recieved and Priority Date, but case status online says they received it on 16 Feb (which is the date they mailed the NOA). I think the first time it passes through the online system, that's the 'date received' in case status online, not necessarily the date it was accepted at the lockbox.

I had a similar situation. My fee was waived on 02/18 but I got text/email from USCIS on 02/19; one day later.

Guys, I have a question.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but after we all get our NOA letters with biometrics appointment date all next steps after this (including biometrics) will be done by CIS local offices (mine is in San Jose, CA).

Fingerprints/Biometrics -- In local CIS branch

Interview -- In local CIS branch

Oath -- In local CIS branch

Biometrics is done at the Application Support Center which may or may not be your local office (but is often in the same city or region - it'll say on the biometrics letter). NBC initiates background checks, but after that and biometrics, then yes, it's all up to the local office.

Thank you. I didn't know about Application Support Center.

Now I will google for it. :)

In my case ASC and local CIS office is the same office :)

Mine are different. My ASC is closer to where I live. My CIS Office is downtown.

Also, the oath ceremony can be in different places... could be in the USCIS field office, in a court, or in a rented space. In Houston it is held in a basketball stadium.

Does anybody else think that there have been a lot of topics recently from people who seem to be overcomplicating the process of whatever form they're sending in? A lot of people just don't bother looking up topics that already cover their questions in detail.

Obviously, I'm just antsy waiting for next week when I get my fingerprinting and mugshot done :P
