I guess I should have said "End of Week #2". Tomorrow starts Week #3.. I guess this means my wife is still sitting at "Recommended for Approval" but is not yet "Approved".

An August trip for my b-day is looking less and less likely...

My understanding is a text stating inline for oath means you're approved (no longer recommended) and they just need to assign a spot for you at an upcoming ceremony.

Google up coming oath ceremony dates in your area. Some forums say first Tuesday or the month or something like that. You can plan your trip around that or call your office for the info. Worst case you just reschedule your ceremony.

same here....I had my brand new certificate for a few hours lol I just found out that it is very expensive to get a replacement if you lose your certificate....gotta store it very safely lol

That's my understanding, too. Until the "in-line" text comes, she's still not officially approved.

I have been unable to find any real info on oath ceremonies in Orlando - only that administrative ceremonies are held weekly at USCIS and judicial ceremonies monthly at the courthouse. I saw one (old from 2012) post on VJ saying the day for weekly ceremony in Orlando is Friday (it could be ON my b-day!) It doesn't help that the IO who interviewed her told her that she needs a judicial ceremony when she really doesn't (we are hoping his supervisor catches the error!), so we really have no idea how to even guess when it might end up being.

I just double checked. I am incorrect. Filing fee is $345

However, the $600 was told to me at my oath ceremony as the cost it would be to get a corrected certificate on any day other than the same day as the oath ceremony.

I think it is 345$ (for N-565). Anything federal is expensive. I learned something more funnier yesterday for exactly to the opposite direction what we are trying to achieve, if a US citizen wants to renounce his citizenship the fee is $2350.

USCIS's immigration services are self-funded; that's why their prices are so much higher.

That's why our applications aren't affected when there's a government shutdown.

That doesn't mean the prices aren't nuts!

Oh, yeah! I forgot about that... That's means we're paying out of our own pockets for this incredibly low level of customer service and complete lack of USCIS accessibility (except on their terms)!!

I got emotional on the oath itself.

I am still stuck at background check. and was told that its just 3 months 3 weeks, still 1 month 1 week more to go until going out of the timeline..

fingers crossed, and hoping that this would be over very soon..... the longest I had waited with USCIS process.
