Just to add to what JimmyHou has already said, I applied for my passport on 5/31 and received it in the mail today 6/14. I'm still waiting for my certificate and passport card to arrive.

Please Ryna and Dustin, let's keep each other informed on any update, this waiting is killing me, also want to take a moment to remember all the victims here in Orlando, this event was so sad and the entire city is mourning.

I finally got a chance to check my wife's status... It has not changed yet unfortunately. I need her Oath to happen ASAP, since we are moving to Italy later in July. We are cutting it close. I may have to schedule her to come in August instead while i head over earlier in July for my job.

Applied by our self. Have called the lawyer taking care of our GC application couple days ago. She said need to wait about 5 months.

Our county organizes only 3 oath ceremonies this year and hopefully, can catch the last one by the end of 2016.

I got a feeling that our Oath (Ryna and Dustin) will be the same day.

That would be great because it would mean they realized their error with my wife's name change!

As it is, she scheduled an infoPass for June 24th and has a thick binder full of every form ever filed with USCIS and every letter/notice ever received from them ALL showing that everything she has ever filed with them (post-marriage) is in her married name and in the form she wants it. So, we will see... Even when USCIS "fixes" their own errors they don't tend to undo the damage by putting a person back in line where they should have been they just let the case go forward from the point of the correction.

It depends if you plan on doing a lot of non-air (land and/or sea) travel within North America & the Caribbean.

I did when I got mine back in 2009 but that's because, up until that point, all of my travel had been in N.A. & the Carib. I haven't used it for travel since I got it, though I do always carry it even when I travel by air as a backup form of proof of my US citizenship, just in case something were to happen to my passport book.

I have to renew my passport soon and am torn myself as to whether or not to get a new card as well.

I opted to get the card because of RealID. I live in a state that has failed for over 10 years to get their state IDs up to par, and currently has a grace period of two years to get their #### together (meaning that my driver's license will work for domestic flights up until sometime in January 2018 and then who knows what will happen). Having a federally issued document like the passport and passport card (which fits in my wallet like the driver's license) will make sure that my ID will always work.
