Hi all,

My Green Card dated 04/23/2013, and I file under 3 years. I live in Dallas, TX and my field office is Dallas. I submitted on 02/12, and had fingerprint on 03/09. Until now I have no new update. I called them on 06/08 and they just said "within time frame"? What can I do or do you know the reason for the delay in my case?

If you haven't gotten you in line for interview status update, then you're stuck waiting on the background check. Nothing much you can do but wait.

Quickest is same day.

You would need to apply in person at a Passport Agency, and not a regular Passport Application Facility like a library, post office, or courthouse.

You'll need an appointment and proof of travel within 2 weeks. Depending on when your trip is, they'll decide whether to tell you to pick up the passport the same day, the next day, or to wait for them to mail it to you within a week. You'll have to pay the expedite fees.

Normal applications can take up to 6 weeks.

Expedited applications at Passport Application Facilities (no proof of travel needed) can take up to 3 weeks.

However, both are currently being processed much faster than those official estimates.

Just to add to what JimmyHou has already said, I applied for my passport on 5/31 and received it in the mail today 6/14. I'm still waiting for my certificate and passport card to arrive.

My Green Card dated 04/23/2013, and I file under 3 years. I live in Dallas, TX and my field office is Dallas. I submitted on 02/12, and had fingerprint on 03/09. Until now I have no new update. I called them on 06/08 and they just said "within time frame"? What can I do or do you know the reason for the delay in my case?
