I was put inline for an interview last march 14 and until now I still haven't heard anything from uscis. My filed office is at Pittsburgh...Any advice on what to do? I tried calling but all they say is wait...I am getting impatient ;(

You're not alone... We have been waiting since mar 11 and just being told to wait too. It is frustrating, especially since others from same DO and similar timelines have even done oaths already. Not sure there is anything we can do except wait. our lawyer even called and got same story.

They said July 8 because it is one month from the date of the update. It has no relation to the date of your ceremony, which could be before then.

Thanks JimmyHou! I was hoping that's the case. I'll call USCIS today and see if they'll give me the oath date over the phone.

Same boat here. I called and talked to a tier 2 CSA and he said we should hear something by the 8th or 9th. Well its the 9th today and we're still waiting to hear something. nothing to really do but

Give them a call.

In most cases, the background check is completed before you are placed inline. The file is then transferred to the local office for processing, so it's just a matter of scheduling when there's an appointment available.

San Antonio isn't a big office, but it's not a tiny one either; they should be faster than that.

They should be able to tell you if your file wasn't transferred (in which case they can request it) or if you really are stuck in a prolonged background check (in which case you'll have to wait for now).

Now, you applied under 319b right? Are you in the military or a military spouse? If so, the military helpline is much more helpful than the regular USCIS customer service line.

My wife passed her test this morning! My wife appeared to have one of the more serious looking interviewers but he didn't give her any trouble. He only asked her 5 questions...

What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen?

Who is the governor of your State now?

What movement tried to end racial discrimination?

Where is the Statue of Liberty?

Name two national U.S. holidays?

She had to speak the following sentence:

Who lives in the White House?

Then she responded "The President and his family lives in the White House"...

Then he asked to write:

The President lives in the White House.

Overall it was a fairly painless operation. We arrive 35 minutes before her scheduled time, but they made us wait 5 minutes before we were allowed to check her in. After checking in, we maybe waited about 20 minutes before the interviewer called our number. My wife was in the back interview area for about 25-30 minutes.

She was very happy when she came out to me waiting. We can't believe it's almost over!

Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for her to take the Oath. Have you heard anything yet Rogperdiaz or Ryna?

My wife hasn't heard anything yet. We're hoping that maybe, just maybe, the supervisor who has to give the final approval will catch and realize that she's NOT changing her name and they won't send her to a judicial oath after all.

My wife passed her test this morning! My wife appeared to have one of the more serious looking interviewers but he didn't give her any trouble. He only asked her 5 questions...

She had to speak the following sentence:

Then she responded "The President and his family lives in the White House"...

Then he asked to write:

The President lives in the White House.

Overall it was a fairly painless operation. We arrive 35 minutes before her scheduled time, but they made us wait 5 minutes before we were allowed to check her in. After checking in, we maybe waited about 20 minutes before the interviewer called our number. My wife was in the back interview area for about 25-30 minutes.

She was very happy when she came out to me waiting. We can't believe it's almost over!

Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for her to take the Oath. Have you heard anything yet Rogperdiaz or Ryna?

My wife hasn't heard anything yet. We're hoping that maybe, just maybe, the supervisor who has to give the final approval will catch and realize that she's NOT changing her name and they won't send her to a judicial oath after all.

I was recommended for approval on Tuesday, Let me know Orlando fillers when you guys have an online update or something. Wait for the Oath appointment is worst than wait for the interview. So anxious!
