Wife became a citizen today, tomorrow we are off to get her and our oldest daughter (who also became a citizen today) a passport. Then save up more to get the CoC for oldest daughter. Thanks to all to in this forum for all the support and help throughout this journey. I can't express enough how much help everyone has been. Plus the amount of money saved from DIY vs going to a lawyer for the process. Again THANK YOU all and I'll be back for the N600 process, and probably for my wife's parents applications. To all those still waiting hang in there and best of luck.

Had my interview today at Newark. Passed and became a citizen the same day! Finally!

 

Total processing time was almost 11 months as my application got stuck in background checks.

Nothing in email nor text msg, but we can't wait to know the date. According to many before the oath is done in Los Angeles and that court district says the 18th I have plans of having my congressman fly a flag over the capitol on that day to give her as a gift, which she doesn't know about so that's why I'm very anxious on knowing the exact date. Plus if it happens on the 18th Obama's congrats video plays instead of the new president congratulating all the new citizens. It matters a lot to her so I would be eladed if she did get the 18th. Anyway I'll post an update and the best of luck to all those that are waiting on their interview. Remember STUDY, STUDY, STUDY, PREP, PREP AND PREP, being well prepared will make your interview fly smoothly and you'll be done before you know it.

2/08/16 Application sent

2/12/16 Application received. 

3/07/16 Biometrics

12/22/16 Interview (no communication until we received the interview letter thanksgiving weekend)

1/18/17 Oath

So total between Biometrics and Interview, it was 9 months, 16 days. This whole time I kept asking for help from our congressman Paul Cook and then a week before getting the Interview letter, we contacted the Ombudsman, but we didn't hear back from them until a week after the interview, so not sure if they did or didn't help.

Sent on February 2nd

Arrived on February 6th

Check cashed February 9th

NOA on February 18th

Biometrics appoint set for March 7th

 

Could someone update the table. I'm worried I'll botch it.
