off topic:

For those who are applying base on marriage, are you planning to take your spouse to the interview?

For what I read, the spouse is not allow to be inside the room but is allow to wait just for moral and support purposes. My husband and I always went together to all of my immigration stuff including my k1 visa interview.

Part of me wants him there but my rational part says "you can go alone, he needs to show up to work, you'll be fine"...He can actually take a few hours off work but don't know

I will take the day off to watch the kids, so she can go to the interview.

My wife did her biometrics yesterday on the scheduled date. I know they let you go early at the St Paul office, but we waited this time so we could schedule multiple things for the same day.

As I was waiting, some woman showed up 2 minutes late for her biometrics. The guard decided to tease her drive, I'll assume her husband. He was asking if he was the body guard and not the driver, because a driver would have gotten her there on time. Also said what are you going to do now, you missed your appointment? If was all in a joking way, and he was processing her in, so no big deal. I suppose it gets boring just checking people in all day.

For such a short visit, it had a lot happen. Like the guy who came out to tell me he freaked out for a second when he came back inside while waiting for his wife. We apparently sat where they had been sitting and both are wives are short, Asian, with long black hair and wearing the same color jackets. It likely would have freaked out me for a second too.

Then as we were leaving, some guy backed into backed into another car in the parking lot as he left his space. Both were newer cars with the plastic bumpers, and I noticed he had a lot of small dents on his car. I had held my wife back as I saw him start to back up, because he hadn't turned to watch behind while he was backing out. He got out, looked at both cars, and I got my wife to our car to leave and get out of there before he hit us too. He kind of looked around, got in his car and left. I could see the crack he put in the other car's bumper. The guy didn't even try to look for the owner, who no doubt was right in the ASC.

Wow. That was eventful.. I have mistakenly recognized my wife for someone else too. Pretty embarrassing. Well at least it is over and no one was hurt.

I hate it when people do hit and runs. You should of taken the plate number and left it under the other guys windshield wiper.

For those who are applying base on marriage, are you planning to take your spouse to the interview?

For what I read, the spouse is not allow to be inside the room but is allow to wait just for moral and support purposes. My husband and I always went together to all of my immigration stuff including my k1 visa interview.

Part of me wants him there but my rational part says "you can go alone, he needs to show up to work, you'll be fine"...He can actually take a few hours off work but don't know

I feel the same for the Oath ceremony. However, my spouse sees the ceremony as something special to attend. I see it as a time and place where I'm required to be to pick up my certificate and promptly get back to work. Kinda like getting my license renewed at the DMV for the 3rd time!

I plan on celebrating becoming a citizen (my fourth citizenship so far) but the emphasis of the celebration will be on not having to deal with the USCIS system and handing over anymore checks

I had thought of doing so. But where the guy was parked, I was worried he'd hit our car if I didn't get out of there. I even thought about taking a picture, but our cell phones were in our car. And when we got in the car I just wanted to put distance between us.

My wife and I had a great time taking the day off and getting a few errands ran. Physicals for both of us, her renewing her drivers license which was due in a few months, and then the biometrics. I was surprised we wrapped it all up by noon, and we ate brunch after the physicals. Had it included a shopping stop for my wife, we wouldn't have made it home until the mall closed

LOL Well he had noticed before saying anything to us. Or maybe he did turn towards us, and saw it wasn't his wife. He mentioned it when he was with his wife and leaving and we all had a good laugh about it. I could relate to it happening to me also.

I did my bio-metrics on 3/1/2016 but have not gotten the in line for interview notification. Is this based on field office and maybe mine is just slow? I have seen others who did their bio-metrics after I did and already got the update, does anyone know? Thanks

There was discussion earlier about those filing before their required anniversary of green card date, having their inline notification delayed until its close to or on their anniversary date. This appears to be dependent on the local office as to how soon they will put you in line for an interview.

For my wife its shoes, bags and clothes. I was noticing recently I've almost been removed from our walk in closet. I'm down to about 18" of hanger space. She also moved me out of the large dresser in our bedroom. As long as I'm still in the bed though, I'm ok. But I wonder if I should be worried my 4'10" wife uses about 75% of a king sized bed?
