DS 260- cannot insert phone no. into Petitioner Information as wrong format!

Hi folks

Does anyone know what to do in this instance? On the Petitioner Information page on the Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application (DS260) there is a space requesting my spouse's telephone number. However I can't enter it as the format it's requesting is US numbers and my husband has a UK mobile number. It isn't letting me leave it blank so I've put in my Father in Law's number (in the States, my co-sponsor) just so it will let me save and continue but I'm not sure what others have done here?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

LW

ya, sorry, that form assumes the petitioner is in the USA. with a USA phone number.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Am I doing the right thing then by inserting my father in law's phone number instead?! I mean they'll be able to see from the address my spouse is in the UK...

Cheers!

I would use the last 10 digits, skipping any dialing codes like 011 44 or +44. They aren't going to call anyway.

Thank you- good call. I'll just omit the '0' at the beginning! (It's a mobile no.)
