Yes! So all the while I was worrying that I need to do this step; it didn't matter. The step I did prior to the interview was the one that counted. The passport was ready today ;I picked it up already. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

This is my first time posting!

My fiancée is preparing all the documents for the interview. He has not been convicted of a crime and I wanted to get more information on whether the police certificate is truly needed. The packet 3 letter states:" If you have been convicted of a crime or other offense, obtain a certified court record covering each offense."

Can someone who was recently approved for the K1 visa please share their experience? Did the embassy request the certificate or a paper from the court? If the police certificate was obtained, did you follow the same steps mentioned at the beginning of the topic?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

My fiancé had his interview today, he has never had contact with law enforcement so there was not need for him to get any paperwork in regards to a criminal history. Hope this helps.
