Chances of getting a B2 visa

Hello,

I want to visit my brother who lives in the states- I will have a letter of invitation from my brother.

I am currently employed- I will have an approved leave form from my employer.

I have visited other countries before- Australia, India and Thailand

Strong ties in country of residence- My parents live here

Only visiting for 2 weeks.

My two concerns: I am a 27 year old single female, will that reduce the chances of getting tourist visa?

Also, my current salary is not that great, therefore my dad will be sponsoring my trip, will that also reduce chances of getting a visa?

(I live here in Kenya with my dad, was studying in Australia after which I was working for a couple of year; I was there for around 7 years)

Also, in the invitation letter, my brother has written that I will be responsible for all the expenses; since my dad is sponsoring, does he need to indicate that in the letter or by saying 'My sister will be responsible for all the experience' will suffice?

Your sex is irrelevant, once you are able to show strong ties to Kenya then you will be granted the visa. So just provide a job letter or a letter/deed to anything that ties you to Kenya.

No.

Invitation letters are essentially useless.

Your brother needn't waste his time, ink and paper with an invitation letter.

Your parents are not a tie to home. Children leave home and live independently of their parents. Unless you are their carer or they care for you, they are not a tie. Your brother moved to the other side of the world. You went to Australia for a few years. Why should they believe that you won't try to move to the USA? Focus on things that are yours - that you can't live without and that can't live without you. Your job is a much closer tie.

Your dad isn't sponsoring your trip. He's financing it. There is no sponsorship for a tourist visa. Your best proof is the return ticket for two weeks after you arrive and something from your employer that gives the date you are required back at your desk.
