Your case maybe an exception to the norm.

I think your right iamwhatiam80. My case was approved today. So technically like one month and 2days. ????? so what is the next step? Should I wait for the noa2 letter?

Another question, if my parents lived in another country for at least 6 months at age 16 or older, they would need police certificates for each country?

Really, nunezv?!?

I used google translate to translate to english:

I usually never comment on these pages but as I received great benefit from reading the comments of others here so I decided to also share my experience. I only ask you to have patience during the process. In my case was a request for permanent residence for my mom and I am an American citizen. The whole process since we fill the form I-130 took about one year and three months to receive residence in Ciudad Juarez. The first request was made on December 27, 2015. The first receipt or notification came three weeks later. Form I-130 was processed eight months later (August 2016). It is very important to follow the steps they will communicate to the letter so that there are no delays. It is important to call the number they provide to ensure that everything goes well. Call them in the first two hours at the start of the day. if you call the noon or later then you answer only a machine. Look online case status for more information. Also check the email you were provided for more information. They are very good if I miss a notice by paper mail. Read mail completely even the smallest letters. In my case I read very fast email and let overlook they asked me the death certificate of my father. This delay a half months and I knew my case because I was told to call them and look carefully email with the instructions they sent me. Watch the mail and all information was very clear but in small letters. After filling other forms such as the Affidavit of Support and pay other charges finally I had to wait for the interview appointment in Ciudad Juarez. The notification to the interview received on January 26, 2016 (almost a year later). The interview was to Ciudad Juarez on April 4, 2016. We try to make all appointments in the same Ciudad Juarez: Medical Examinations, Fingerprints (Biometrics) These quotations I made four days before the official date in Ciudad Juarez. When I went to the appointment with my mother and had everything ready. Bring all original documents that collect throughout the process and also the papers and sent them. They did not do more than a couple of simple questions and finally granted a resident visa. In case you need your family trip to the US as quickly recommend you choose the DHL office in Ciudad Juarez to receive the visa or stamped with the visa package right there. Do not open the package that package migration opens when entering USA. They whatever you stamp a visa in the passport to enter. The date was April 4, they sent a notification the next day with the DHL tracking number by email. We went on April 6 at DHL office and we delivered the package that fast. the same day move to the border into USA. The agents were very friendly and welcomed my mom. Remember to follow all instructions to the letter. Visit the web sites they recommend for the process and read well each step. If you read well will comply with the process successfully. Also look at the email periodically. Look at the status of your application online at least once a month. Call immigration to the number they provide (if more than normal is delayed) early in the morning and if you speak English select English preferably not to wait too long in line. I hope you learn something these tips. And remember not despair, I wait one year and three months but it was worth it and I have my mother with us. Greetings.

If you register an account on the uscis website, you can set alerts and look at the last touched date on the file. Are you aware of that ?

No I wasn`t. How did you know to tell me that? Thanks. I just registered, and saw my case was not touched with even one dirty finger since the day they received it. How rude! hahaha

I know I`ll have to wait most probably the full five months, since my relative is not a Filipina, but oh well... All in God`s timing. The struggle is real, the wait is even more real lol
