Update:

Just cause I got excited, I called NVC today and ask about my case, the lady told me me to call after 35 days once I received the letter from USCIS. Now, it's not gonna be pure luck coz I really have to wait haha. I'm hoping for a March interview for my Mom. Hopefully she will get here by April. Time for a good weather.

NVC through consulate interview usually takes 2-3 months.

There could be 2 reasons. 1. Philippines was a former US colony and they get preference. 2. The ISO who adjudicates could be a Filipino.

I have seen so many cases wherein their petitions get approved under a month. Is this fair for the others, definitely NOT. But this is life.

I am happy for that person coz of his situation even though he didn't expedite it BUT in all fairness 4-6 months for adjudicating a simple I-130 is simply ridiculous. Lets just hope things change for better for other petitioners. Welcome to USCIS!!!

I agree wholeheartedly. It is complete bullsh for USCIS to take almost half a flippin` year to slap a simple "approved!" on a straightforward application, so that we can continue with the following process that takes forever anyway!!! Whoever came up with that??? What happened to "keeping families together"!?! Either hire more people to expedite everybody, or just get rid of this first step - we get to send all kinds of documents to NVC, why not start the process there - it is so simple to check if the Petitioner is a citizen and if the parent is legit, and that`s all that is asked for in the first step!

But I`m trying to stay mostly positive and be busy while waiting. All in God`s timing. Just did my taxes, and will soon check out the financial documentation needed so I can prepare ahead - who knows, once you have that application out there, it`s any day that you could expect sudden development - gotta be ready! And when that day comes, oh what joy it will be!

There is one more that got approved under a month right below your post. There is something weird going on at USCIS. This makes me believe that non pinoy petitions are just second class petitions. As soon as they see one, i guess they just dump it in the bottom of the stack only to be approved 5 months down the line and that too without an RFE if you are lucky.

This is how the govt. works for you. Keeping families together is just a bullshit caption they came up with.

Filed for both parents , here is timeline

Sent in app on Jan 15th 2016

Uscis received date Jan 22th 2016 for both mom n dad

Received NOA 1 on feb 2 2016

*Application Form I-130 (Some question need to attached paper that has my asnwer )

*Copy of my Birth certificate from (NSO) my mother and MyBirthcertificate

*Copy of my naturalization certificate (Colored COpy) I dont think this is necessary but i just want it colored

*Copy of my Petition of Change Name From United States District Court, EDNY ( I have changed name I include this Certificate since my SSN still have my old name to avoid confusion) I dont think this is required but i just think ahead.

*Copy Of my Father birth Certificate From (NSO Philippines)

*Copy of Mother And Father Marriage Contract From NSO Philippines

Well finally, USCIS updated their processing times. As of December 31st, 2015, Nebraska Center was working on I-130 applications dated August 2nd. Which means, if there is no speeding up on their part, we`ll be stuck in limbo for a simple "approved" stamp for pretty much HALF A YEAR... Except the applications from the Philippines, of course, those are in a completely different highly preferential world of their own. God, we need a miracle!

I got an update for my Father Petition who got approved 02/09/2016, Then 02/12/2016 got an update that Case was sent to the Department of State for Visa Processing,. I'm still waiting for my Mother She got approved 02/10/2016.
