Any idea why? Did they ask you to bring any additional documents?

Mine did.. But then I received the call from ebassy saying, they want a re-interview...

When did you have your medical done?

my wife's visa issued on 30 March and expiring on August 7, 2016.

so its 5 months in our case.

Our passport stabs were missing first time. Interviewer didn't paid much attention to other prooves and demanded stabs..

We mailed them immediately,, Now they must have felt the need of seeing the proof.. Such a waste of money.. Why didn't they had proper look at all photo, call records receipts bank statemnts etc the first time... He didn't even asked anything from us other than stabs.. ugh

Alhamdollilah,

Today my wife received the passport back from American Express, her interview was on 24th Feb, i attended the interview with her, they really ask a lot of questions and evidence, specially they want to see evidence and chat which we did prior to marriage, since it was CR1 case, after interview CO said that they need some time to do background check, and it may take 1 month. Our case was idle for 3 weeks, means no updates, after 3 weeks, i notices 6 updates frequently on alternate days, then on 30th March visa was issued, i also noticed 7th update on 31th March, then today on 4th April, she got the passport.

AP is different for everyone, it all depends on CO, it can take 3 weeks to years, but most of the cases are issued between 5-6 weeks, some of the case in 8-10 weeks, very few of them 6 months. But one thing is common in all case, which is PRAY, all cases required a lot of pray and believe that you will get the passport soon, Insha Allah, Ask your elders and parents to pray you and for everyone who is stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Wish you all the best in your case, InshaAllah soon everyone will get the visa at the end.

Hi

How do they do background check? What type of check is that? Even after you have submitted police clearance?

Hi

Police clearance is meaningless in Pakistan, and it is no longer required. Additionally, they can do background checks on a beneficiary from any country regardless of what it says on the PCC. There are many different types of security checks that can be done.

SA012,

Now you need a pray, and hope that soon your wife will get the visa. Usually it takes 5 weeks to several months.

pay attention on update status date. usually visa issues after 5-6 frequently updates.

May Allah make easy for everyone waiting for visa. Ameen.
