I just read another thread that was 5 months old that has me stressed now.

I am flying out of Toronto YYZ on Friday, and I am pretty sure that the NOA2 will have expired since its been a long time. It would have been expired even when I was at the consulate for my interview when they approved the K1.

The K1 that is in my passport is valid and expire in May 2016.

Should I be stressed about this and worried that they are going to turn me away on Friday?

Is there anything I can do before Friday to make it easier for me?

You have a valid K1 visa, so you should have no issues. The K1 is valid for six months from the date of the medical exam which you stated will be in May.

Enjoy your trip, and Good Luck!

If you already have visa I dont think you should worry about NOA2 anymore. As long as I remember the NOA2-good-for time is to get visa before NOA2 expires, and you said you have visa already

I cleaned My Timeline. Hope nobody minds

Don't stress. You have the visa in hand. Don't even mention the NOA2 at all. Just tell them when you go thru customs that you are activating you K1 Visa and open it up to page that your visa is on. Play it cool.

The thread I read on here said that its in the sealed envelope when they open it.

Just worried that's all.

You shouldn't have a problem, as that case was one in which the officers had no idea what they were talking about, which is likely very rare. However, if you're still worried, you can check on your visa page in your passport to see if the NOA2 was extended. Under the petition receipt number, it says "PET FILED:/REVALID TO"

Thanks for the info, it was revalid till May 2016.

Got to the airport and was through Border Security in less than 15 min which was shocking. But it was painless and the guy was really nice.

Just waiting for my flight now because I was super early
