Hi everyone,

I am flying to the US on Friday afternoon and wanted to ship some items before Friday so it gets there sometime next week for me.

My biggest concern is what I ship being charged duties and taxes on things.

What do I need to provided to UPS for shipping this stuff. Some of it is clothing and some is electronics.

I am entering the US on a K1

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you weighed your options of just having extra luggage at the airport? I know it might not be too convenient but it might be much less expensive depending on the amount of stuff you have. Just an idea!

My plan is to ship 3 or 4 boxes plus my golf clubs with UPS.

Plus taking 2 large suitcases and my carry on which will have stuff in it also.

But I want to make sure I don't get hit with extra fees on duties and taxes on my personal items being shipped

Oh goodness- you definitely can't lug all that through the airport!

I'm not sure about the fees and/or taxes- I just wanted to offer another option that maybe you hadn't considered!

So I went to UPS today and talked to them and they have a form that I need to fill out with a copy of my passport and visa page, plus include a copy of my flight itinerary.

I am taking 2 more boxes over tomorrow and they are going to ship everything I bring together first thing Friday morning. This way once it hits customs I will be in the US and with al the paper work I shouldn't have any issues.

Total cost for 5 boxes worked out to just around $400 standard ground shipping. 3 of the boxes were fairly heavy so that's why the price is so high.

Fingers crossed there is no issues and I have my stuff end of next week.
