My fiance is in the usa and am i nigeria we planning on getting married.. Any advice pls.. What are we to do to be together?.. I need an explanation.... Thank u

I suggest you read our Guides, which give a lot of information about the K1 fiance visa (faster, but more expensive and cannot work right away when entering the USA) and the CR-1 spousal visa (takes longer, but cheaper and can work and travel right away upon entering the USA): http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides

The first part of the process is a visa petition, and the US citizen partner has to do everything for that and send in the paperwork, so it would be a good idea for your fiance to join here too, read and ask questions.

Have you met in person yet? That is required for a visa- the longer and more often you meet the better, and if your families can meet it helps too.

You need face time, at least 30 days seems to be a goal for Nigerian couples, you either get married in the US with the K1 or you marry in Nigeria and wait for a CR1 visa.

Have you two even met yet? That's face time. Time together. Unless you have real strong ties to Nigeria the likelihood of you getting a visitor visa is remote. She can come to you or you guys meet in a different countries that allows you easier passage.

for our case we met in South Africa and then filed for k1 which was denied because when he was interviewed the interviewer kept asking him why I didnt come to Nigeria and meet his family and friends ....he told her because we wanted this to be our decision not the decision of family and friends ....after he said this she said she couldnt approve the petition cause we lacked bonafide relationship evidence... but where we met was the only thing the interviewer kept talking about....so this was our experience everyones is different ....I just wouldnt chance it
