The letter of intent has to be original not scanned since it's a signature document. Also I would definitely leave out money transfers. You are an engaged couple dealing with one of the hardest embassies in Africa and showing you exchanging money helps no one. Different if you were married.

And you may have much scrutiny to explain why after 6 years no marriage. The CO may see it as a lack of commitment and doubt that in 90 days you will marry. A red flag to consider.

As far as the communication all you can do is show what you have. Did you have other means of communication back when you started 6 years ago? Do you have any proof of you starting the relationship 6 years ago? Facebook posting, email, text, phone logs?

Thanks so much for replying. Yah is a bit complicate I had some health concerns wasn't OK to travel for a while had surgery also needed time to recover even after tat. when I went to see him first time I wasn't fully OK but was needed right now everything is fine am doing great . so, If I get a letter from my doctor stating the reason will it help with the situation.

With the communication we do have WhatsApp chat , gmail messenger and all call log. But msges to prove the beginning of our relationship is what we r finding it hard to provide. Before I had my surgery I send him an invite my doctor stated why I couldn't travel n he had to come visit, but he was denied

Hi Abby,

My fiance and I also have known each other for a long time, and I don't have too many records from back then either. I met him on a trip to Ghana with a mutual friend in 2006-2007 and have about 5 photos of us together at that time. We were just friends at first and didn't really get into a romantic relationship until around 2012. I've been to Ghana two more times since then- once in 2014 and once in 2015. So yea, the earliest chat records I have are from 2010... and still, only a few. Before that we were just talking on the phone every once in a while, and I don't have those records. I'd say 97% of what I sent with our application is from 2012 going. So far we've made it to the last stage with no problems... we're waiting to hear from the embassy as to when we can schedule his interview. From what I hear, Ghana is a tough embassy, but hopefully everything goes well. I guess they probably will ask what took so long for us to see each other again, but we were just friends initially, both students with no money, and we tried a couple times to get him a tourist visa as well with no luck. I think (and really hope) it's okay to not have a ton of records from years and years ago.

Yea, and those documents do need to be actually signed by him. It's a pain, but oh well! Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions!! :)

Hi Abby,

It's actually a good thing that it was you who invited him although he got denied. I'm pretty sure you were mentioned on the application for a visa. If you still have copies of that application it'll be a great asset.

ya, G-325-A and letter of intent need wet signature - no scan/email/print about it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I had my fiance's G-325A and Intent to Marry scanned to me. There were no issues. There's nothing that states it needs to be an original signature any longer- just that the original needs to be produced if requested.
