I had my interview at the embassy on Thursday and have been approved. :)

What I'm wondering is whether I will be okay to get a return ticket over to the US instead of one-way. This is simply because the return would cost £325 and a one-way would cost £475. How they decided you'd pay 50% more for half the journey I don't know??? The only thing I'm worried about is whether someone at some point (POE???) will look at my flight details and my K-1 visa and think somethings up because I have a return flight. Should I be, or am I fretting over nothing?

And my other question is whether or not I'll be allowed to volunteer during the period I can't 'work'. It would be nice to actually do something productive (that will help find work later on), other than the list of decorating that's being compiled for me!

Oh, and I won't get in any trouble for cramming my suitcase/s full of books, cd's and stuff as well as clothes, will I?

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I'm a born worrier!!!!

buy whichever ticket you want.

of course you can volunteer

the concern about your luggage will be the weight of the bag after you cram it full of stuff

Return Ticket - Perfectly ok

Volunteer - Ok (as long as it's not normally a paid position) try www.volunteermatch.org to look at some voluteer jobs in your area.

Suitcase - as long as it's not overweight - and if it is..you get to pay the extra.

round trip ticket okay.

volunteering sounds like a great thing.

I would suggest when you pack put your heavy books in your care on. I usually take two care ons when I visit hubby a bag pack that I can put under the seat in front of me and another shoulder bag I put in the over head department. If you want to bringra an extra bag or if it weighs too much bring some extra cash.
