"It took us roughly 55 to 65 days to finally get an interview date and the interview date was about 45 days out." is what one of the two people who are working on visa's in our country.. I was told to get the case number asap and then not wait for the embassy to contact us but to try and schedule now or as soon as we have the case number to avoid the wait..

Curious as to how long it will take to get that number? We got our NOA2 on January 8th apparently. :)

From NOA2 to case number takes about 14 days. But after a week start calling them.

The case load at nvc has them saying that they need about 45 days to look at the case.

After that and if all is okay, they will provide a date for interview, no one can say with 100% when that will be.

EDIT: With K1 the NVC will ship your case to embassy, and they will give you a date for interview.

Sounds like it is a good idea then to get the case number and try and set up the interview as soon as possible then to avoid long waits.. Thanks! :)
