My k1 visa has been approved, i am looking at booking flights and i see many of them go through Toronto Canada airport, is it ok for me to use this airport as the port of entry into the united states? My fiance told me that there is a USA customs there because she has gone through it.

Congrats- one piece of advice though. Don't actually book your flight until you have your passport with visa in it back in your hands.

No. You need to do your research of which countries he is able to do a transit visa for, which countries do not need a transit visa....specifically for his country. For example, my partner is from Libya and he absolutely couldn't go through Canada. Germany is very easy though and doesn't require a transit visa (for Libyans - so probably not for Tunisians either).

My husband then fiance traveled through Italy on a one way ticket from Tunis. He had a layover and I made sure he knew he had to stay in the intentional zone so he wouldn't need a visa. It also depend on the length of the layover, Ahmed had only a couple of hours.

Good point. Also note that some countries (eg UK) will waive the transit visa requirement for those with a US visa/immigration packet/green card.

the airport you enter in the US will be your port of entry, Canada is not the US.

But you do CBP clearance in Canada before boarding the plane, I guess that's what they meant.
