No.

If you want a student visa (the forum you posted in), you need an I-20 from an accredited university; ie, they need to accept you for study.

If you want to just visit the USA, ie get a tourist visa, you need to prove you will go back home/ have strong ties to your home country such as family, enrollment in university there, a good job, having traveled before and gone back home.

Which visa?

There is no "I just wanna go to the USA" visa.

Explain to us WHY you want to go to the USA and for how long, and we will try to help.

Your prospective US Employer will handle all the paper work, or more precislely his Lawyer will.

****** Moving from Student to Work Visa forum ******

Again, we need more information. You cannot expect to get help when all you give us are two word replies. The short answer is no, your friend cannot invite you to work with them. The longer answer may be different, though it is unlikely unless they own a major coorporation or an extremely specialised firm.

What education and work experience do you have?

What kind of work are you looking for (internship, training, short term work, long term work visa leading to greencard)?

Is there any family that will want to travel with you and if so, is it important they (say, a wife) can work too)?

If this is in relation to the friend, what kind of industry does your friend work in, and what job does he hold within that sector?

Here are all the visa options. Please scroll down to the "Non Immigrant Visa" section. Read up and see if one applies to your situation. We cannot guess. You have to meet the requirements in order to obtain an approval. Good Luck!

Then what does your friend inviting you have to do with anything?

The OP reminds me of an older thread here where there was a same sex couple and partner A posed as a "nanny," of partner B to try and enter the country.

Friends have no roles to help you with the process of Work Visa. Friends can help you find a Job Prospect and once you have been hired _ The company may apply for work visa.

Friends can be a factor for tourist Visa as they can help you with your expenses while your are traveling USA by providing some types of affidavit.

Hopes this helps.
