Sorry if this has already been discussed but is anyone else stuck waiting way longer than expected after their interview in Montreal? I had my interview July 15th.. The man who interviewed me said it should be a few weeks. When I call the number they gave me they told me 60 business days, which would have been in October. I'm trying to stay positive and not lose hope, is there anyone else out there in the same situation?

September 2007: Met online via social networking site (MySpace); began exchanging messages.
March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Was there an issue at your interview? Are you natural born Canadian or you are from another country?

Has your US Citizen wife involved her Senator or Congressman to get some answers? What is the status on the ceac.state.gov site?

There was no problems at the interview. The man was very friendly asked me a couple questions and then handed my the welcome to America paper and told me my passport should come in a few weeks.

I was born in Canada and aside from taking our kids to visit their father in th USA haven't traveled anywhere else.

For the duration when I log on or call ais or log into ceac it's just been stuck at "administrative processing"

I would email the consulate (as there is no other way to contact Montreal).

Did they keep your passport?

There was someone that had a similar issue recently and they called her in for a second interview. And when there they told her a new CO was taking the case. Maybe there was someone in Montreal not really doing their job...i don't know. If memory serves their first interview was in July as well.

Either way email the consulate asap. Unless you already have? If so what did they say and when?

2015-02-06: NOA1

2015-06-19: NOA2 Email. 133 days between NOA1 and NOA2

2015-06-26: USCIS update that case was sent to NVC

2015-07-02: Case received by NVC

2015-07-14: Case number assigned when calling on 2015-07-20 but couldn't give emails as case was locked still

2015-07-27: Called and was able to give emails

2015-07-27: Submit DS-261

2015-07-27: Pay AOS Fee

2015-08-25: Receive IV bill

2015-08-26: Pay IV Fee

2015-09-05: Submit DS-260

2015-09-07: Sent AOS and IV package via EP

2015-10-11: Resubmit via EP after being told to do so on 2015-10-09 as it looked like our original emails were lost

2015-10-16: Received email for scan date of 2015-10-12. Told that basically nothing can be done and we need to wait 30 days from 2015-10-12 (30+ days lost because they lost our emails)

2015-10-26: Told case is basically complete but that they are building my electronic file. Told there is no timeline for this.

2015-10-30 & 2015-11-13: Still told no update. Building electronic file still and no timeline.

2015-11-17: Case Complete

2015-12-03: Receive packet 4

2015-12-15: Medical

2015-12-18: Medical picked up results

2016-01-12: Interview - Approved!

2016-02-03: POE

When I logged in yesterday it says it was last updated January 16th, but still on administrative processing. I sent them an email months ago and got a general your case is being processed but I will email them again right now. Thanks for your help - I'm definitely getting worried

I would also get the USC to talk to their representative to contact on their behalf about your visa.

Do you have a common last name?

Did you family come from somewhere other than Canada?

Do you have relatives in a MENA (middle east north africa) or south asia country (ie: Pakistan?)

I do have a common last name. My maiden was smith and married is now Thomas. But no family ties or traveling has been done anywhere like the Middle East, Asia, Or Africa.

How would I ask the consulate to speak with their representative. Would I just mention that in an email to them?

Finally got a reply from the consulate, they're claiming they don't have an original copy of our i864 - which is a lie because I gave it in at the interview- so we just couriered a new copy of that. I'm annoyed after 7 months they're only telling me after I harassed by email. I don't know what to expect now
