Make sure you take a cemar/cenomar. That doc was not specifically listed on the USEM letter and created a 221g from the co, about a 5 day delay in processing. Take everything else listed on the letter most of which won't be asked for. My wife was in the 6:30 throng and our within 3-4 hours. Lots of excellent guides here, you just have to search for the info.

Be confident and not timid. Look the CO in the eye when you answer his questions and don't begin a conversation. Answer his/her specific question, don't embellish and wait for the next. If relationship IS LEGIT YOULD ALREADY KNOW ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS: HUSBAND'S NAME, WHERE WILL YOU LIVE, WHERE DOES HE WORK, ANY BROTHERS OR SISTERS, WHERE / HOW DID YOU MEET, WHERE WAS WEDDING, ETC. iNTERVIEW IN TOTAL LASTED 5 MINUTES. anxiety IS WORSE THAN THE INTERVIEW ITSELF. dON'T WORRY. (Sorry about CAPS)

Where in Ohio? Send PM with contact info. We're in Columbus.

CENOMAR should not be more than 6 months old, and they will only want the CEMAR showing you are married (leave the other one at home). NBI should not be more than 6 months old either, with AKA for all names used (married & maiden name)

Police certificate for any foreign country you lived in for 6 months or more.

Follow the embassy instructions letter: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/IV%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf

Other than the caveats Hank mentioned above looks like you're good to go.

Hope we can visit in Ohio later.

I would definitely be prepared with a nbi clearance for each name, or 1 showing both names with a clean slate.

Possibly you will get a response from a CR1 on how they did it.

Our interview is coming up in March! We are still getting documents together.
How did yours go?

hi guys,

sorry for the late reply. after my interview everything went so fast and there are lot of things to do like resigned from work, CFO and pack stuff for flight to the point that i have no time to visit here again. interview was jan. 20..everything went well. received visa feb. 03 then fly to US feb. 11..

so far, here at US now for 2 weeks already. place so cold since still winter. i want to thank u all for the ideas that u shared during our visa processing journey...may God bless all of you and good luck to the upcoming interview and visa process..

based on my case.. in my birth certificate..my middle name is incorrect but it was corrected before i graduate college. since birth cert is already corrected...theres a notation where..when and from/to below your original birth cert. error is still there but the notation below the birth cert. makes the error correct.. thats what it is...

i got married..of course all the docs transfer to married name like passport..govt i.d etc...

during my interview, i never thought consul asked me a cenomar and nbi using my uncorrected name (my maiden name with uncorrected middle name). as expected, i have nothing to show coz i dont have those docs. they just instruct me what to do and where to send. i did that on the same day of my interview. everything went well after that and they process my visa immediately after i sent it back what they need.

tips: if your name is corrected, i advice u get those docs and bring those on the interview date to avoid delay..

*cenomar with uncorrected name

*cenomar with corrected name

*cenomar with married name

*nbi with uncorrected name

*nbi with corrected name

*nbi with married name

cenomar is not listed on what to bring on your interview list but they will going to ask that during the interview. American consul are nice but filipino consul have lot of question and thoroughly check your docs 1 by 1 during your pre-interview. so be prepared than sorry later..
