Hey guys,

Here is my interview experience.

My son was with me on the interview day. We reached the visa shuttle at around 5.45am and the staff told us that the gates will open at 6.15am. So my wife was in the car along with my son and I was in a long que….. There were around 12-16 people waiting outside before we reached; however by 6.15am approximately 25-30 people were already there. At 6.15am the gates were opened and we got into queues where tickets are issued where not more then 80 ppl.. There are separate counters for different countries. The counters opened at 7am and we bought two tickets (each ticket was PKR 200/-). Once you get the ticket you have to deposit cell phones on the very last counter on your left. After the security check we boarded the first bus to the embassy. Its a good 10-15 min ride and once you reach the embassy there are a few security checks. Once you enter, the first thing is token number issued. After that we have to wait for our turn to be called. Firstly I was called and requested for finger prints. At 2nd they ask us two passport sized photographs, medical reports and Passports and language selection which was English in my case. I was given a pamphlet on domestic violence and list of courier offices in different cities from where the passport will be collected which its ready for pickup. I was also asked to provide city and contact number for the courier service. After another 15 minutes I was called on a different window where an American CO greeted me 'Good Morning' and started the interview:

CO: Asked me to take Oath to speak truth which I did.

CO, Who is calling you?

CO, Name of the person?

CO: When you guys married?

CO: how she entered in US?

CO: when she entered in US?

CO: What is your Profession, where are you working right now?

CO: Why you have travelled in so many counties… I had all official visits and having all documentation.

CO: What is the profession of your spouse?

CO;When you last time met.

CO:. how many times you guys talk to each other?

CO: Where is she right now.. I said in waiting area J

CO, when she is going back?

CO: who is your joint sponsor?

CO. What is his profession in US.. (Luckily we worked together in a different country on the same project)

CO: Where will go in US?

CO: what will you do in US?

CO: have you pictures of your wedding?

CO, I have a good news for your Sir. Congratulations, your visa approved. You may collect your passport in 12 days

During the session I have an eye to eye contact with CO, sometime I laugh like how long you talk… I laughed and said as long as she wants…. And now a days I don’t need to call her… he shocked…Why… I smiled and said, she is already here :)

So don’t loose your confidence… guys chosen English are get completed all processes so quickly and for other languages you have to wait…you have to choose the most convenient language even no matters its Pashto or Punjabi... All iz Well!

Again.... be very truthful....honest.......dont try to add any point which is not real... like dummy job, dummy experience... you have to be fair by all means... confident.... must have full documentation, and Prays from Family :)

All the best Guys! Cheers.

Thanks guys..

Best wishes for your visa journey.

Hi quazze,

Can you please tell me about how this status changes should be in cases of approved visas such as yours? Does it change from Ready to AP OR from Ready to Issued?

did you check yours on CEAC site. My wife status changes from Ready to Administrative Process on the same day after her interview. Thanks

I have a question, when he asked you for a joint sponsor, did you show him last year's Tax return 2015? Was it filed already or you just showed him his W2's? I M very confused about that,I don't want to file it yet.one more question, was ur joint sponsor married?
