Waiting For Interview

We have received a letter from the NVC telling us to wait for a visa interview. Does anyone have an idea of how long the wait time is from the time you receive the letter to an interview date? Or maybe a website that can give me this information? I would even be happy with a time frame, like 1-2 months.

This is a permanent immigration visa with Green Card for a Moldova citizen coming to the USA.

Thanks for any info or help.

It really depends. There's no set time frame. The NVC will schedule your interview once the consulate or embassy at Moldova has an open slot. It really depends. Sometimes, it takes days and sometimes it takes weeks or months. You won't know for sure until you get an appointment letter. So best thing to do is call the NVC to ask once in a while.

You will probably be in the queue for March. Don;t know if your embassy is finished with February scheduling. I keep a spreadsheet of Case Complete to Interview. Only one for your country. It's all about when you get Case Complete and when they start and finish scheduling.

Thanks for the replies. I have called the NVC. They said they are waiting for a visa to become available.

All the paperwork is complete and approved, just waiting for the interview and an available visa.

So it looks like probably March then.

Anyone else have any ideas or information?.

Are you a F2A category still than? Otherwise (I see your profile says naturalization) there is no Visa # waiting.
