Hi everyone!

I just have a few questions about proof of ongoing relationship with the I-129F application.

First a quick background of my relationship to put you in the situation: I am an American citizen (with Lebanese parents and French passport), and my fiance is French-Lebanese. We have been together for almost 5 years. We both grew up in Beirut, Lebanon, met there, and did a year of long-distance (Beirut-US) when I moved to Boston in 2011, then he moved there for school in 2012, we were together in Boston for 3 years and then he had to leave for London last october (applied for H1B visa and did not get picked through the lottery). He proposed last month and I'm in the process of preparing the I-129F packet.

For the proof of having met in person during the last two years, I printed all of our trips together (we travel A LOT - I'm talking about 15 trips) including boarding passes, airbnb or hotel reservations, car rentals if any, as well as 20 pictures of us (during our travels and some events in Boston) from beginning of 2014 until last month at our engagement dinner.

For proof of ongoing relationship I tried to copy our facebook chat history, but just the history from 2013 until now ended up being 105 pages on Word. It seems completely unrealistic to me to print all this and send it along with the rest. We communicate via whatsapp the most, but we have the same issue, the file is so huge that it would become an enormous amount of paper to print.

  1. Is what I prepared already enough to prove ongoing relationship? I mean I have proof we were together last week from train tickets. We only communicate via email for flight tickets or things like that (which I already printed)
  2. We have a credit card account where he is an authorized user, is that useful?
  3. We share a family plan for our cellphone provider in the US (he kept his US number), is that useful?
  4. Could I for example print the "Show Friendship" page of Facebook that shows many different pictures of us and when we started being friends on Facebook etc?

Also, I have to move on the 1st of April. I am planning on submitting the I-129F packet early next week. I was wondering, would it be safer to put as a mailing address the address of a close friend who lives nearby instead of worrying about my address change? Or should I just update my address online on the USCIS website once I move?

Thank you so much for your help! You can't believe how nice it feels to have an online community to rely on for help and support through this tiring process!

It sounds like you have plenty of info- I can share what I sent in as proof as a reference (my I-129F was approved last week)

-14 photos dated 2012-2015

- copies of our college degrees (we attended the same college)

- flight itineraries showing our visits to each other- 6 in total

- copies of the passport stamps from both our passports to verify the flight itineraries

- lease agreement proving we lived together for one year before he left America

I didn't include any chat logs, FaceTime calls, Skype calls, etc because I felt like it overloaded my packet. Thankfully the pieces I sent in were enough so my advice is to pick the most meaningful evidence!

Thanks so much for your reply Kl30morg!

Looks like I should be okay. I added screenshots of chat logs for each month of the year for 2014 and 2015 (fit all of them on 4 pages, so it doesn't seem too bulky) just in case.

Congrats on your approval!!
