First, find out if your Field Office holds the Judicial Oath Ceremony, if not, you can't change your name whether you check Yes or No. If they do have Judicial Oath Ceremony, then, do not leave it blank, just check No and you will have a chance to decide whether you want to change your name or not in the interview. Or, even you check Yes and write down the name you want, but you change your mind later on by picking another name or don't want to change your name at all, you also have a chance to do so in the interview.

Good luck

Sure,

Types of Ceremonies:

In a judicial ceremony, the court administers the Oath of Allegiance.

In an administrative ceremony, USCIS administers the Oath of Allegiance.

Website: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

(Go to this website, click to the map at the bottom and read the description)

Use this website to look up your Field Office, in the description about you Field Office, it will tell you if your Field Office has one of the two ceremonies or both and how many time they hold the Oath Ceremonies in a month (or a day).

Change your name will delay your N-400 process? That's not always True. Why? Again, it depends on how many time your Field Office holds the Oath Ceremony and what type (Judicial or Administrative Ceremony). For examples, if your Field Office hold only Administrative Ceremonies, they will automatically deny your name change request only, not the whole application, and they keep continuing process your case, so No delay. If your Field Office hold Judicial Ceremony once (or twice) a month, then everybody will have to wait the same time as you, so No delay. If your Field Office hold the Judicial ceremony once every three months or once every quarter, then you have to wait until they hold the Oath Ceremony, so you might have to wait (not delay the process)

Boy15 has given you some excellent responses, but here is some additional information in name changes; read through these posts, they should be very helpful. Click this link to another Visa Journey thread:

Good information here. I will just add that a large majority of field offices do allow name changes (because they conduct judicial ceremonies). The only offices I know of that do not allow name changes are in Northern California, but there may be others that I don't know about.
