Hey everyone.. Well for my story ...I haven't seen my husband since April late last year sorrow-smiley-emoticon.gif The most challenging part for me so far was when our cases were at USCIS, the wait time and being apart from each other during those first 5 months was terrible. Now we are waiting for our Case Completes and crossing our fingers that we don't get checklisted!

Nicky sykes Yes you become a (conditional or immediate) PR as soon as you POE that is what makes this whole IR-1/CR-1 process longer than the K-1. :star:

@keas it's good that you are able to see each other every 3-4 months. Just hang in there, It takes long but it soon will be over soon

Thanks I am trying. I was with him over this past weekend. It took all my effort to not be a bawling mess in the airport going back home

I understand all the frustration our system is so complicated and seems so unfair. My husband and I will have been married 2 years in June 2016. By my estimates he will get an interview in late March or early April. So he will be 2 months short of the 2 year mark to obtain a IR visa. Trying to decide whether we should sacrifice the additional two months so that we don't have to file I-751 and payout $590. Any body else in that same boat? What things have you taken into consideration before deciding?

I'm not sure I understand. Isn't the I-751 to remove the conditions on the green card? That's filed 2 years after you've been a PR? Or an I confusing it?

Never mind... I realize what you're saying now.

I truly understand your pain. I got married on July 22 and left to come back home on the 23rd. I was so sick and didn't want to leave my husband.
