Hey guys,

My friend is getting ready to get married in Vietnam. He has all the documents from the US ready (affidavit of single status, vital records, bio sheets), however he didn't send it to the Vietnam consulate in DC to get it legalized. Where can he get it done in Ho Chi Minh City?

When I did it, everything needed county-level notarization and state-level authentication before legalization at the embassy in DC. Did he skip those, too?

If he didn't get that done, the US consulate may or may not be able to provide those services. I don't know. But one of the things the VN embassy did during legalization was translate the documents as well as the notarizations and apostilles. So your friend may have to arrange for translation separately as well.
