Hi everyone,

My husband is wanting to come here in the philippines next month to attend my interview but somehow one filipina that he knew in u.s told him he is not allowed to get inside the embassy.is it true?or he will be able to come with me and stay by my side during the whole process..thanks in advance

The USC can attend the interview. Just stand in line with your fiancé and follow the guards directives. Be sure he has his passport with him. No electronics are allowed in the Embassy. When I attended 3 years ago I was able to store all our electronics on the USC side. There is no storage for beneficiary's and they will be turned away till such time they can meet the "no electronics" directive.

Once in you can follow along through the process but keep in mind they may ask you to sit while the interview her. Depends on the CO.

Totally false! Walk in together, have a great time!! The CO may not allow him to stand next to you during the interview, but he can be there with you. During my wife's interview I stood next to her, it was a great experience!!

During my interview, I saw a few USC with their fiancee or spouse during the interview. Those guys I saw are in the window with their fiancee/spouse during the interview and were talking to the consul as well (yes, it could depend on the consul). Based on my observation, most of the conversation actually were with the USC.

I didn't noticed if any of them left any electronic devices on a certain section, please re-check on this.

Hi when my wife had her interview back in feb 2015 i was there right beside her glad i was it was a great experience

Avoid electronics if possible. When I went I was able to check my phone and thumb drive in a small locker on the USC side but that was 3 years ago. The Philippine side they would turn people away with electronics. They had to find someone out front who you paid to hold onto your stuff.

I left my cell phone at home when we attended the interview. Leave everything locked up in your hotel room... honest you can live a few hours without a cell phone.

That is an embassy policy, applicable to everyone. All electronic devices are not allowed including memory sticks (I have read one experience on this) . It was also in the REMINDERS attached on the DS XX confirmation.

I have not read any thread on this. You may call the embassy to verify. But I am pretty sure if the beneficiaries are their kids, they will be allowed in the embassy. Any other companions are not allowed, I even saw older persons just by themselves.

Yeah leave the phones, etc at the hotel. MUCH less hassle checking and recovering them later.
