Does W2 must be original the day of the interview ?

Hi all. Nvc asked me to take the W2 with me to the interview. The paper never get to me but i have scanned. Will they ask for the original or the printed one is enough ? And what if they ask about the taxes even if i sent them to the nvc but i dnt have them with me will it be a problem ?? Thanks

Are you the petitioner? I'm the petitioner in my case and I will be joining my wife for her interview. I don't have the original W2 either, I'll take a copy with me. Same with the IRS transcripts and Tax Return, all are copies.

I can't comment if that will be acceptable or not, only that I'll be doing the same.

take original pay stubs with you.

It's kind of more important to show that you are working at the very moment.

I didn't send any W-2's just tax transcript for last year.
