If you applied for Adjustment of Status, you should have received a receipt with a receipt number on it. If you did e-filing, then the number will begin with the letters "IOE".

I have ioe number. My mom arrived on may 6th. Applied the green card online on may 10th. Still waiting. It is been 39 days since I made the payment. Based on what I heard, I have more waiting to do. I called uscis, and the told me ...you have to wait 45 days after submitting the payment. Then green card processing will start.call after 60 days if you still don't get it.

Hope this helps guys.

hi just an update, i got my GC after 125 days. USCIS will not give you the IOE receipt num niether will entertain you if you want an update if 120 days still not lapse. 120 will begin after u pay imig fee or after you enter US, whichever occurs later. thats what i have experience.
