I am so sorry. The Illinois denial of permits issue is eclipsed by the good Bubbas of Spokane who were inconvenienced.

Where I am In FL you must make an appointment to apply for your concealed carry permit. I called this week and the county office is currently making appointments for mid March. Going directly to the FL dept of Agriculture (the folks that are in charge of issuing CCW) gets you an appointment in mid February.

Background checks at my local FFL are taking much longer. Picked up a gun today and my guy was waiting on hold for nearly a half hour for the background check confirmation. He also told me he had been delivering more guns than ever before by a large margin.

If at first you don't succeed, then sky diving is not for you.

Funny you weren't outraged at the black people in Illinois who were applying for permits and turned down for no reason at all.......

Please stick to the topic.

This thread is not about "black people in Illinois". It's not even about "victimization of black people". Amazingly <gasp>, there ARE some topics and discussions that are about all people and not JUST black people.

Definitely in favor of right of black people in Illinois to carry. Perhaps there is a disconnect between the electorate and electees.

Sorry Janelle, you forgot the basic rules for being on vj.

You can't bring race into the conversation. Even if the conversation is about black people (which it will be) you just don't have the right to speak on black issues.

You can't bring other issues that are similarly related(unless it's an attempt to TALK about Islam or black people then it's ok, but you just can't do it since you know, clearly you know nothing about either subject.)

I hope this clears things up for you. Some members get a bit sensitive when you go off topic and it's not to degrade certain demographics. Unless you talk about the two above mentioned subjects in a negative light, you'll continue to be penalized.
