The Instructions for the Processing times chart explains it. It was updated to July 2, because someone in their office processed a case submitted on July 2. It doesn't mean that they have cleared all June Filers yet, it just means that one of the multitude of employees cleared through their stack of June's faster than the others, and has started on July. Just have patience.

Instructions for Using the Chart

The chart will show most of the types of forms processed at the field office or service center. You can select the form type that applies to your case from the drop-down menu.

If the field office or service center is meeting its goal for processing a form, you will find the timeframe listed in months. For example, if the office is processing Form N-400 naturalization applications in five months or less, then the chart will say "5 months." However, if the office is experiencing a processing delay, you will find the filing date of the last case that the office completed before updating the chart.

You asked the worst case / several have gone many years

but i saw that adiljeanne went faster after Nebraska got the case / i think it sat over 8 months in Missouri

a friend now in Nashville actually took 7 years

not because he was muslim but because she had to find a cosponsor

each case is so different

a year is normal for Spouse / after the case goes to NVC it should go much faster / check out the NVC site to see documents they will require at that time / tax transcripts for last 3 years / criminal investigation reporsts which previously were required at interview but now required at NVC stage, and any other documents your case requires

the times it takes to complete a case denpends on many things like the number of cases coming in / whether or not more documents are needed / the country of the beneficary / how many visa numbers are available

Best to you

I don't think that would happen now! because we both are clear and she doesn't need a cosponsor.

How long would we wait for the approval? Should we call them?

Oh about a year or so. Maybe longer from the Middle East given everything going on. You can call them but they likely won't be much help and will just tell you you're within the processing guidelines and to wait longer.
