Nah - that almost happened to me - in 2014 on a long drive - texas state trooper stopped me, i not consent to any search. he told me the k-9 unit was in route. Once they showed up, I saw this 'action', and consented to human search.

Sure, they not find anything, cause I don't do silly stuff... But it happened to me ! Maybe this 'action' is limited to Texas State Troopers, and not the local police ?

Yup cut and past numbered or lettered responses are a supposed TOS violation. I got suspended for it out of the blue one day after doing it for months.

Actually, I think that comment was directed at me. I remember saying that these public instances where black people were beaten or killed on tape only happened to black people. NB responded with links that showed it police brutality happens to white people as well.

But that's my fault for not conveying my message properly. I wasn't saying that it ONLY happens to black people, I was saying these instances where black mothers are pulled over and terrorized over the wrong call, or cops shooting into a car full of kids, or shooting a car more than a hundred times over a backfire, or getting shot in your driveway while smoking a cig, or getting arrested for waiting for the bus, or getting arrested for buying a belt, or getting arrested for buying a purse, or getting pulled over for eye contact, (man I could go on) only seem to happen to people of color. I've even went as far as to ask who here has experienced police brutality since the majority of people here are white men.

NB said he was pulled over and threatened. Which I would imagine a frightening experience for anyone, but for black people, it's routine to the point where I expect it when I interact with the police, no matter how polite I am. And I shouldn't have to just because I'm black.

imo, its not about fault, nb knows full well that you don't believe police brutality only happens to black people. words are twisted (and numbers given) as a means to shut down discussion, to discredit other people's views straight off the bat. if every time you bring up police brutality, i quip 'not a real cop' and that's all i have to add to the discussion, the discussion ends.
