My husband was granted a 2 year conditional permanent resident green card in June 2014. I will be filing the I-751. I am not sure if we are required to include the $85 biometrics service fee. The instructions state that "conditional residents" are required to include the $85 biometrics service fee, but "permanent resident spouses" are not required to include the $85 fee. Is my husband considered a "conditional resident" or a "permanent resident spouse"?

Yes you will have to include the biometric fee.

I-751 can be a joint form, only the conditional green card holder pays the biometric fee,

Since I had both a wife and stepdaughter with conditional cards, had to send in an extra 170 bucks.

Ha, a good thing I didn't marry a woman that was sure after me with six kids that would be an extra 595 bucks.

Was stated that your biometrics was good for 18 months, we applied for US citizenship exactly one year later for my wife. Was told, don't believe everything you read. Wanted another 85 bucks for citizenship. Also was told to bring in two passport photos for your citizenship interview, don't believe that either, they used my wife's photo from her biometrics. But for this one, she fixed her hair, was kind of a mess for her ten year card she only had for one week.

Just telling our experience with this.
