Video below states 8,000 K-1 Visa's issued last year from Manila

http://manila.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visa.html

A little video made by the Consular officer in Manila. Not sure how old it is or if it has been posted here already.

Also looks like interview starting February are changing so they won't have so many people there at one time.

That must explain why up to now there are no Feb or later appointments available on-line.

Good luck to all!

STAGGERED APPOINTMENT SYSTEM EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 01, 2016

In our continuing efforts to ensure the highest level of customer service, the Immigrant Visa unit will implement a new appointment system designed to minimize applicant wait time.

Effective February 01, 2016, Immigrant Visa interviews will be scheduled at 6:45 am, 7:30 am, 8:15 am and 9:00 am. Embassy personnel will facilitate entry of immigrant visa applicants 15 minutes prior to their respective interview time slot.

All applicants who arrive earlier than 15 minutes before their interview time will be asked to wait outside the Embassy premises.

I have seen some charts that show the Philippines as #1 country for visas.

It will be interesting to see if this change does in fact decrease the 5AM throng of applicants.
