Okay.

So I've been reading some posts about scheduling appointments through CGI, sounds like a pain....

Anyways, right now we just received P3, I went on CGI to register and had him paid the fee at the bank; Fiance is going to send P3 back to Guangzhou tomorrow.

I guess I'll be joining the clicking game once we receive our P4?

I came to share my CGI experience. So I have been on there to try to get an interview date since we sent back P3 and paid the fees on 1/10/16. Panicked a littlle because a lot of ppl are saying GZ is hard to get a date, especially with Chinese New Year coming in Feb.

Luckily I got an interview date on Thurday (1/14/16) night around 11pm EST, so that was Friday noon in China, there were 3 dates popped up on CGI websites, Feb 23,24 and 25. Without a doubt I chose the earliest one for my fiance, but then we realized it was a Tuesday, and it will take 3 busisness days to get his medical results from the medical center, so he will have to be there at least on Feb. 18 in order for him to get medical results on time before the interview date.

Anyways, I am much relieved now, just waiting for him to get interviewed and hopefully we pass.

The P3 was a package sent in mail via EMS to my fiance in China.

We sent back the P3 notice (your case # is written on it), with DS-160 confirmation page, copy of passport, and two passport style photos.

Our wait for P3 was about 3 weeks.

The embassy tells you to schedule interview after you received P4, but since scheduling is a pain, and you can actually schedule once you have paid the fee, so I went ahead and scheduled first.

Now just waiting patiently for our P4 to arrive in email. It is taking quite a long time compared to others, some say they received within a week after they sent P3.

Question for you: did you (the USC) sign up for the account at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=China, or did your fiance sign up? We finally got our P3 and my fiance sent it to the consulate today, but the P3 is a little vague on what to do next...

I did the sign up on his behalf. I used my email address and his information, Since the website loads a little slow in China. It doesn't really matter who signs up, as long as it is the beneficiary's information is entered.
