Hi everyone,

I have been browsing mine as well as other persons profiles for K-1 Visa approvals. At the bottom of the timeline it gives a date that we were projected to receive a NOA2 as 4 January.

Well we still have not received anything (RFE, NOA2, Denial). Also people that have received a NOA1 after us are starting to get approved. So I called the USCIS number given on the site to check my status and explain my situation. They said they have 5 months to approve the 129-f packet and that this site (Visa Journey) means nothing to them, I asked why others are being approved while I have received nothing and the reply was that they could not access records and that it was handled in the order the NOA1 is received. After that their terrible customer service rep started repeating this over and over until finally I hung up. The CSC has 5 months to process the application they are still within their time limit. So my question to the forum would be. Is there anything I can do to actually check the status of my case for reals and not just have a terrible customer service rep repeat the same information I can access with my receipt number of my NOA1? And why the hold up for me with no mail while others jump ahead?

Anyways if you are awaiting anything, calling the USCIS is completely useless unless you're past the time line that they post on their site. Just as a heads up to other users. Also the customer service representatives cant access anything more than you can if you have a receipt, so it was completely a waste of time accompanied with very rude service.

They do just read from a script there is not much you can do if you are still within the 5 month time limit.

But its only been a week since the estimated time on VJ. With the holidays we just passed I bet your approval is coming within the next week or two.

I would just begin checking the uscis site every day because that is the fastest way you will know. Also if you signed up for the text email that will get sent within a few hours to a day from your approval.

Just sit tight, and get used to the "rude" customer service.

There is no rhyme or reason as to how or whose approved first second or last. That adjudication date at the bottom of your timeline is just an approximate not a guarantee.

You can track your own processing on the USCIS website. Really all you can do is wait. Patience is key in this process. Good Luck!

Mine came a week or so after estimation date.... don't panic just yet! You are lucky your case has ben sent to CSC and not TSC. It will be fine. Like yourself, I spent a lot of my time worrying and panicking. PATIENCE is a must, if you want to remain stress free during this process!
