Just to chime-in.... from my experiences in Morocco with my husband and some experiences some of my friends have had there... it depends upon where you are and who you know. The very first time I went there, prior to meeting my husband, I was in the back of a car with my “hosts” in the front and we were flagged over by the police a couple of times. The second time I went, to meet my husband, we had a hard time finding places to stay at the begging of my visit and at the end (the middle we were at his family’s home) and had to even bribe the desk clerk at the hotel to let us stay there in one room. The first place we stayed in, a friend of his in that city had to arrange for us to rent a flat, because we had issues due to us not being married. It’s great that some people have never had issues, but many have, so to say that someone’s experience and knowledge is absurd, is actually absurd. Somethings have become more lax over the years, but, again, it’s often who you know, where you know them, and how much extra you’re willing to pay. My husband, for example, was in the hospitality industry for his whole adult life in Morocco, so he had seen, firsthand, many “mixed” couples over the years have issues. As for @Ismael&Blair ‘s experiences, that IS what they experienced.  Ok, that’s my two-cents. As for the OP, I’ve heard she married her significant other, and are waiting for the CR-1 process to move along. I wish them the best of luck this time around!
