Hello everyone!

My fiancee is having her K-1 interview in Paris on Tuesday, January 12th 2016. We've had some confusion regarding the payment for the interview. The email she received from the US Consulate telling her the interview date and time stated that she needs to pay $265 at the cashier's window. Our questions are - is this how to pay, and do they accept cash (Dollar or Euro)? I ask because I've heard some Consulates in some cities require the payment online first. Since she got the email saying she needs to pay in person, I'm assuming that's what will happen?

Thanks for any help!!

In some cases, the payment is at the consulate - as it was for us. My fiancee paid at the consulate, in cash, the day of her interview. Paying online for her country was not an option. I don't recall the currency she paid with.

Thanks Tamcloud! My question is, it seems some US Consulates require payment online FIRST, and others require the payment at the time of the interview. Does anyone have an idea if Paris accepts cash?

Thanks!

Cool, thanks for the advice. My worry is that the "official" email she got from the US Consulate in Paris said "Pay the cashier $265...." seemed fairly ambiguous. Many other people on this website said they were required to pay the interview payment online beforehand. I think different Consulates/cities do it differently, but I want to make sure we know what they'll want in Paris next week...:(

So since no one left any feedback here I will do. I had my interview last month and we pay in the embassy (Paris) in the day of the interview. We can pay with cash (Euros or Dollars). There is even some coins machine if people need to exchange those bills
