Hi.

The petitioner filling Affidavit Of Suppor is a retired person receiving Social Security benefits. However, she's not currently in United States. In fact most of the time she's abroad while still having a place to live in U.S.

What do you think should be provided in the Sponsor's Physical Address section in the AOS document? Should it be the address that she currently stays at or maybe it's just about the place where she lives when in United States?

Thanks

The co-sponsor must be US based.

Is she legally resident abroad? Does she file taxes as a non-resident? If so, you cannot use her.

Same applies, and even more so.

The Family visas are for the purposes of family re-unification inside the USA; the petitioner needs to prove they live in the USA, or will move back to the USA at the same time the beneficiary does.

Thanks.

Would a petitioner written statement of intent to move back to the USA at the same time the beneficiary does be sufficient? Or would you add some more supporting information?

It would help, but you need more- actions speak louder than words. Show that they rented or bought a home in the US, are looking for a job, enrolled kids in school... that sort of thing.
