You mean by putting little things like the actual costs of our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan back on the books? Or are you meaning the budget approved by Congress? The days of the President controlling the budget have long since passed.

I dont think the president accomplished anything except taking a bite out of everyone's pocket with that "affordable" healthcare he and the democrats passed without reading. Manufacturing fell while he was in office, our oil industry will essentially be dead within a year or two as companies fold, the leases in the gulf of mexico were awarded to the chinese, wages were flat during his entire term in office, the national debt increased under his presidency by a factor greater than all previous administrations combined, his policies in the middle east are so bad that the saudis are reaching out to the russians for an alliance, and the stock market, bloated by cash infusion from the Fed, is on the verge of collapse. There was no growth anywhere, in any sector, in the economy. He is and has been an ineffective president with no vision or plan who when his congress was voted out from under him switched to the passive agressive behavior of not agreeing to anything and not working with the people that the voters sent to washington for him to work with. He has been one of the weakest and most ineffective presidents in history.

He has been ineffective. The only really good thing I can think he has done is remove pre-existing conditions in healthcare. Probably we need a single payer system but the right wouldn't have that so he did what he could.

Now, the main thing bush did was commit war crimes and treason (I am not kidding) when he suckered this country into the Iraq war. He is the worst president in a generation, certainly.

Obama squandered good will. He should have personally pulled the lever on bankers right there on the White House lawn but he did what all politicians do with bankers which is to lie in his back and spread his legs.

He has been a massive disappointment, though we should be grateful that even with the implosion of the Middle East he hasn't sucked the US into another idiotic ground campaign.
