I posted an article that wrankles your panties because: "it doesn't offer you a solution". The article is not a piece of analysis

Use the critical thinking skills you vaunt and:

1. Prove the author has the facts and perception wrong or

2. Come up with your own solution or

3. Move on and forget it

I just posted some commentary on starving children..what you do with that information is up to you. Since Slater posted the article , the story was developed in the news and the issue is working toward resolution.

The real reason you are bothered by this article is that it does not fit with your world view of what is happening in the Islamic world.

I don't call out people, I call out stupid which this article is.

A solution comprising of "people should fix things" or you will whine again is not a solution, It is a total cop out - taking no stand and having no conviction. The article states *directly* a temporary solution that did not remove Assad from the equation was not a solution.

I have yet to see a post by him containing any substance. He seems to subscribe to the illusion that intelligent people can be compelled by links and one-liners without any commentary from his end. Mother jones might give talking points but it doesn't teach critical thinking.

The real reason you are bothered by this article is that it does not fit with your world view of what is happening in the Islamic world.

On the contrary it fits perfectly. I think the islamic world is full of cretins who are more obsessed with scoring points with their child-raping prophet than having decent lives. They would rather kill each other than try and work forward. That's why the ME is like it is. The article supported the conclusion that there is no obvious clear way to deal with Syria because even if one tried it is merely a horse dragged to water.
