What can my fiance expect when going through Customs at Denver International Airport? Length of time, questions he'll be asked, etc... Can anyone share their experience? Thanks!

Others can comment on Denver specifically; in general, length of time depends on how many international flights might be arriving at one time, and the CBP staffing levels.

K-1 entrants typically aren't given a hard time by CBP, because CBP figures that they've rather recently been put through the wringer at the consulate. However, any K-1 entrant can be denied entry for any reason that the consulate might use.

What I did when Mrs. T-B.-to-be was arriving -- and what I've done when her relatives were visiting -- was to telephone the CBP office at the arrival airport. I asked how many flights typically arrived at (say) 4 p.m. on a Tuesday, and whether full staffing levels were typical. If you're lucky enough to reach a CBP agent who isn't beastly busy, you'll get a good answer. If your inquiries are blown off, call back in a few hours and reach somebody else.

If there will be language difficulties, ask if a bilingual agent or civilian can be present at the flight's approximate arrival time.

Look on the Denver Airport's website to see if the number for the CBP port is listed; if not, go to cbp.gov and search under "ports of entry."

EDITED TO ADD: Aha -- here you go: http://www.cbp.gov/contact/ports/denver

I think there is only one flight from the UK and one from Europe, most of the other flights are to Mexico etc and mostly Muricans so not long lines.

But then not a lot of staff either.

Never had any great delay getting through, especially if you are quick off the plane.

I do not recollect any particular questions, just hand over your paperwork and be sent to secondary, not much to ask.

I know this is an old post but did your fiancé fly directly to Boston from Casa? I’ve been reading that Moroccans need to apply for transits visas for most connecting flights (Canada, Germany, Spain, etc) and was wondering if he did that.

No moroccons do not need a visa to transit to another flight in Europe or Canada . Who ever posed that is a liar and never traveled
