How long did it take for you to receive an Approval (or Denial) on your i601a Waiver??

We will be mailing out our application in about a month.. It has taken us over 6 months to get all of our stuff together to prove our hardships.. Just wondering what the process is going to be like..

AND... if we get approved... is the next step the interview?? Husband is here in america undocumented... from Costa Rica. He's been here for 13 years.

I went through the i601a process in 2014. Then, they received it in late October and approved it in early December but that was some time ago. You can go on USCIS.gov and they will give you the estimated processing times for your office specifically. The next step is finishing up with the NVC. They will complete their process, request any additional papers they may need then schedule the appointment. Good luck!! :)

It seems to be around 2-4 months for I-601a approvals. Your husband will have to go to CR for his interview and should be able to pick up his visa down there (if all goes well at the interview) to come home :)

11/11: Husband got deported
1/11/14: Got married
3/13/14-11/2/14: I-130
1/26/15-3/17/15: NVC

5/28/15: INTERVIEW - denied

6/8/15: I-601/I-212 waivers received

11/17/15: I-601/I-212 waivers APPROVED

12/11/15: HUBBY HOME!! :dance:
