Do I need invitation letter when my hubby apply for visa ?

I´m not sure that we get what your are asking.

But did he apply for a CR1 and are he or you American or Green card holder ?

The first part of the visa process (USCIS, NVC) is you, as petitioner, doing all the work. So they already know you want him here.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

My sons AOS and IV bill paid March 23rd (status in progress)
My sons AOS and IV bill shows as paid March 26
My IV bill paid March 26
Both packages sent on March 26
My IV bill shows as paid on March 27th
CC on both cases March 30

Current record holder of fastest through the NVC :D

Medical exam in Stockholm April 13th
Interview on May 16th !!!
POE Anchorage July 12th!! 2012

Once you have meet and marred you are free to submit the i-130 petition. There is no Invitation letter. Please do read the guides and please ave your bonafide evidence lined up and front-load your petition for success.

If you have any other questions come back and ask. It is about a 8 to 12 month process from submission of petition to Visa in hand (if there are no issues or stalls) to getting your spouse here. Good luck

Maybe you're confusing it with the K-1 (fiance) visa, where they have to submit a letter of intent to marry. There's no such thing with the CR/IR-1 visa. You're already married and need to send proof/evidence of a bona fida marriage with the petition.

May 10th 2016 - First day at my new job :dancing:

No I think they're confusing it with the "invitation letter" that people often write for their spouses or girl/boyfriends for a visitor visa which ultimately hurts vs helps.

You must understand the difference between non immigrant visa and immigrant visa I was confused and I kept reading about k1 it took me a while to understand the differences. I still get confused so please be careful before you apply.
