Thanks, Hank! ☺️

I have another question, should I still get a Police Clearance even if I already have an NBI Clearance? ☺️

Also, if I my visa is approved, how long do I wait to get my passport back with the visa? ☺️

Thanks in advance! God bless! ?

Police clearance is only if you lived in a foreign country.

a) OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES. Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for one (1) year or more after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names. Countryspecific information on how to secure police certificates is available on the State Department’s web site at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html.

You do not need a local police clearance just the NBI Clearance.

Awesome write up! My wife and I will be going in next week and you laid out the process quite nicely. Thanks and congratulations!

Hi,

My sister's PD is August2014. It took us a while to gather all the supporting documents so her case is slightly delayed. As of june 3 2016, her case is completed at the NVC and we received a letter today saying she is n line for the visa interview. The letter states, they arent sure when the interview would be. I looked at your timeline and it took you only a month and a half from the completion of your case in NVC to the interview date. Was wondering if you have your case expedited? My sister is turning 21 in October. We called the NVC because we are worried about her aging out but we were adviced to not do so because of her case already complete at the NVC. My sister is also in her last year of college. Wed like to know if she will have time to finish her degree (if her interview will be in OCT and since the visa is good for 6 motnhs, there is a chance she can finish her school and leave for the US in march.) We are really in great dilemma. It would be so great if she can finish college before coming over. But of course she can alwasy finish later. Main priority is for her to come over before she turns 21. I called the Nvc almost 3 times week hoping well get the date so we can plan better with her schooling. Looking at your timeline, Chances are shell be interviewed before october. which is a great blessing also. we really are confused about the aging out thing.

Thanks for always being prompt in your responses. You guys have no idea how much you're helping out! ?

I have another inquiry though, can I wear casual clothes to the interview?

When I get approved, how long before I get my passport back?

Thanks a million! ☺️☺️☺️

My wife wore a nice blouse and jeans. Casual is fine, just not too casual... ;)

After approval no one knows how long before 2GO will deliver the passport, embassy states 5-10 days after issued

Hi! Quick question, do I need to bring a copy of my husband's tax thingy? Thanks ☺️

You need everything that is listed in the instructions letter, and the "tax thingy" is under Evidence of Support: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/Instructions%20Packets/iv-interview-preparation-instructions-english-feb-2016.pdf

Embassy looks for a CENOMAR to be less than 6 months old.   When you request a CENOMAR from PSA and are married, PSA will issue a CEMAR (Marriage Advisory), which is what the embassy is looking for with a spouse.
