Hey guys, I'm new to the website and also to the process so I was wanting to give a little information about my case and request any help or advice that can be given. I met my fiance a year ago online on a dating site to where we have been talking through Facebook whatsapp all the like. We actually met when I traveled to see her in October and stayed together for a period of a week only due to my hectic work schedule and school. I filed for her k1 visa on and sent all the necessary documents and more on December and received my Noa the 7th and am waiting noa2. We have so much questions as to how the process is particularly in ethiopia as there only seems to be alot of information for Philippines and some European countries. Some of my questions along with any advice you may be able to give me based on my information above are as follows:

1) Is the ethiopian interviews usually tough or negative (I ask because I read that with poor countries they tend to lean on it being fraudulent and thus complicating things more)

2) i provided a letter from my work along with the i-129f packet stating I have been working there since 2013 . My boss verified it and signed it along with a few other documents detailing my payments. Is this ok ( There seemed to be so much conflicting statements as to what to send financial wise that I don't even know if financial proof is necessary in this stage)

3) What is the ethiopian medical exam like? My fiance is terrified of needles lol how long does it last and what do they check for ?

Thank you and I thank you for your well thought out reply. Thank you for your time also enkuan aderesh

I'd also like to add quick one more thing I forgot which I'm greatly concerned about:

I recently read about IMBRA rules which prior to sending my petition I had absolutely no knowledge about??? i stated in my letter detailing how we met simply that we met online and began talking on facebook whatsapp and the like. Do uou think this is a gueranteed RFE or worse denial?

Thank you for your reply

As far as the medical goes, my husband went to the American Medical Center, paid, and set his appt for the next Monday since there was a holiday and the exam has to be done over 3 consecutive days.

Monday was the xrays and then he had to go back Wednesday for the physical.

They check for communicable diseases like TB, HIV, etc., and mental health issues/drug addiction, I think.

Wow thank you for the info, I will relay that to her. We are still waiting impatiently for our noa2. I tried calling the customer service number on the notices I received (noa1) (they sent two cause they foolishly put my birthday as 2015) but they said they can't check my case information in regards to processing time they can only give me a general quote about how long it take. Is there any way I can call someone maybe and get more information on the case maybe is there a number to the California consulate checking the case? May sound silly but I'm Still wondering.

Also how far is everybody along with their processes ? Everyone coming to a close?

God bless
